Besides, it must mean you are very special when many of your guests travel from New Zealand, and as far as Wales, to be with you on your wedding day.
That’s the thing about weddings; they bring together all those people. All those people who have made you who you are including those old friends; the friends who know you best. You can banter and laugh and cry with those friends. Sam and Chris were lucky to have a bunch of those friends in their bridal party. They were willing to travel across the world. That’s a true friend. That and they won’t let you get away with anything, even on your wedding day.
Sam and Chris thought very carefully about how to bring everyone together and made their wedding a great big get-together/holiday for the out-of-towners. They spent some time leading up to the wedding in Daylesford with many of the guests, and then got married at Emu Bottom Homestead where they felt many of the guests would be able to relax and enjoy the day, and because they couldn’t think of a more appropriate venue than a woolshed for their wedding. Sam and Chris both come from farming families and some of the guests were even sheep farmers! They loved the Australian bush setting as it felt relaxed and comforting, and had the distinct Australian feel for their out of town guests.
