The couple obviously enjoyed being surrounded by their diverse group of friends and family, reflecting their broad range of interests. Because of Mike’s Ukrainian background, both he and Steph have been studying Ukrainian, and Mike even tested out his new language skills during his speech. Later on, Mike and his groomsmen surprised the guests with a not-so-traditional (and quite entertaining) take on a Ukrainian dance.
“The whole day was absolutely perfect,” Steph said afterward. “It was incredible for each of us to marry our best friend in such a beautiful place, surrounded by all our amazing family and friends.”
Steph also sweetly mentioned, “It was so great having Lizzy as our photographer. We had lots of fun and laughs—she felt like a friend rather than our photographer. Lizzy was very discreet during the ceremony and reception, which allowed us to enjoy the moment with our friends and family.”
