Client Spotlight: Profile Portraits: Tony Romanelli

When I pack up the studio, after one of our special profile portrait days, I am always exhausted. It’s a big day, lots of photography but also a big part of these sessions is meeting people and learning about their personalities and what they do. This is especially important because not only do we photograph a true representation of each client’s personality but it means they let their guard down and enjoy the session. This results in relaxed personable portraits. I couldn’t love it more, as I get to meet people from all walks of life and we basically end up having heaps of laughs, chats and to be honest a lot of fun!

Tony was absolutely no exception. Tony is just one of those lovely personable and genuine guys. He came to us through a recommendation, through a lovely past client of mine, Marion. So I knew he was going to be great fun to work with, as well all I can say is good people know good people.

This is a little about Tony (a truly fascinating gentleman) and his experience of the shoot.

What do you do?
I am a social policy creator and developer for marginalised youth.

Tell me about how you got into your field.
I began my career as a teacher and then progressed into the public service as a senior consultant, where I worked on both the Disabilities and Behavior and Well being portfolios.

Tell me a bit about what you do.
A highly experienced and passionate advocate for marginalised youth, educator, trainer and facilitator, I specialise in the development of policy based on the principles of inclusion and social justice, reflective of the needs of our vulnerable youth.

Lizzy was highly recommended by a friend and colleague.

Tell us about your experience working with her. Were you happy with the results of your shoot?
Lizzy made me feel very relaxed which made the shoot loads of fun. It was so easy to connect with Lizzy, and it didn’t take long before we were solving
the worlds problems, having a good laugh, which resulted in heaps of fantastic shots. It was so difficult to choose the shots, because they were all great.
