Client Spotlight: Michael Leon

What do you do? Tell us a bit about what you do.

I have been writing science fiction for around five years and have published two of my five manuscripts – Cubeball and Emissary. You can find my novels on www.michaelleon.com.au

Tell me about how you got into your field.

I wrote business reports and books in my previous career in international business. I worked with the Queensland government, assisting businesses to find overseas markets for their products. I also wrote ten publications identifying markets in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. This allowed me to gain valuable experience in the process of writing, including creating, editing and marketing. It seemed right for me to move to the challenges of writing full time.

Why did you choose to have professional profile photos taken and what will you use your portraits for?

As a published writer, I have to market my books across many forums, including social media. It’s important to create a professional image on my sites. They include: website; blog; Goodreads; Facebook; Twitter and Amazon.

Tell us about your experience working with her. Were you happy with the results of your shoot?

I was pleasantly surprised. Lizzy quickly developed a rapport that relaxed me for the photo shoot, leading to some great natural shots.
