Sophie has a lovely bubbly and friendly personality so it was really lovely to work closely with her to capture the images she required to promote herself in her industry. Sophie wanted to look approachable, personable and professional. However, she wanted to shy away from the traditional lawyer type headshots she associates with being outdated and not representative of her personality.
What do you do?
Tell us a bit about what you do. I am a solicitor and Partner at a boutique law firm (QR Lawyers) in Collins Street, Melbourne. I specialise in insolvency and litigation.
Tell me about how you got into your field.
I loved the law from my first legal studies class in high school, I had a wonderful teacher and she imparted a love for the academic side of the law. I experimented with a number of areas of law before realising I loved to help people resolve their disputes, 9 out of 10 litigation cases resolves before it goes to trial and the thrill of reaching a settlement for clients is something I truly enjoy.
What is the best piece of career advice you’ve received?
Stay outside of your comfort zone as much as possible.
Why did you choose to have professional profile photos taken and what will you use your portraits for?
I need professional shots for our firm website, linkedin and proposal documents put to clients. I had professional shots already but felt that they didn’t reflect me as an individual or how I wanted to come across to our clients
Why did you choose to hire Lizzy C Photography?
I came across the website in some google searches and was really impressed with the relaxed and personable professional shots Lizzy had on her site.
Tell us about your experience working with her.
Lizzy was professional whilst being friendly and relaxed. She put me at ease in a situation where I would usually be very uncomfortable. The result was some great shots.
