What do you do? Tell us a bit about what you do.
I’m an entrepreneur running a tech startup company in cloud services, a veteran, an author/writer, and philosopher. My company is called Regina and its mission is to help address the growing jobs crisis that has come about from the pandemic and increasing automation by offering a corporate solution to the idea of a Universal Basic Income (UBI). Cloud services are the infrastructure on which future innovations will be built upon, and Regina aims to build a decentralised server network by developing miniturised servers and paying families to host those servers in their homes through a lease agreement.
Tell me about how you got into your field.
I served in the Army for four and a half years as an infantryman specialising in communications. That experience working on military encrypted networks and my passion for the idea of a UBI led me to founding my own company where I could combine those two ideas. I’m looking forward to making Regina a household name.
What is the best piece of career advice you’ve received?
Leadership is not about making demands, but about offering assistance. Subordinates are not the foundation on which a leader stands, but a leader is the foundation that supports their employees to stand.
Why did you choose to have professional profile photos taken and what will you use your portraits for?
A picture is worth a thousand words, and having a great portait conveys a lot more than what words on a screen can portray. I knew that being the founder of an ambitious company would mean I would have to present a professional image that I can use on my website, business cards, and other promotional content. Plus, my LinkedIn profile desperately needed an upgrade.
Why did you choose to hire Lizzy C Photography?
I stumbled across Lizzy’s website while looking for photographers and was really impressed with her results. I could tell that she was really friendly and professional by looking at how comfortable her clients looked in her shots. To me it was a no-brainer that Lizzy was exactly what I wanted.
Tell us about your experience working with her. Were you happy with the results of your shoot?
The experience with Lizzy was incredible. She was very friendly and chatty from the get go, and had a great studio. She had obviously done her homework as she went through the different shots I wanted and explained how she was going to take them. She payed a lot of attention to detail by making sure each shot was perfect and was amazing at making sure you were showing your best smiles.
After the shoot Lizzy was very quick at showing me the portfolio of the different shots she took so I could select the ones I wanted. It was so difficult to choose because there were so many I thought were great. I ended up getting more than I had originally ordered just because Lizzy did such a great job. The turn around from selecting the photos to receiving the final edits was really quick and I’m extremely impressed by the results. I would absolutely recommend her in a heartbeat.
