I have the pleasure of working with people from all different industries and walks of life. Recently, I met and photographed Dr. Sargun Mahindroo, a Paediatrician. Even though Surgun was noticeably nervous about our photoshoot it didn’t take long to break through her apprehensions about being photographed and for her friendly and compassionate personality to shine through. She told us a little more about what she does and her experience of a Lizzy C Photography photo shoot.
What do you do? Tell us a bit about what you do.
I am a Paediatrician, I work primarily with children and families with developmental and behavioural challenges.
Tell me about how you got into your field.
I have wanted to be a Paediatrician since I was 11. My career has changed significantly since I’ve had my own children, the experience of being a mother has been invaluable to me and my practice as I can understand the unique challenges of parenting. This is especially important when working with families who are experiencing hardships.
What is the best piece of career advice you’ve received?
You can change the world… just one person at a time.
Why did you choose to have professional profile photos taken and what will you use your portraits for?
I am starting my own practice and wanted a photograph that reflected me and the way I work.
Why did you choose to hire Lizzy C Photography?
Lizzy’s photos were beautiful. All her clients seemed relaxed and comfortable and looked great too. I especially liked how she incorporated nature and the outdoors in her shoots.
Tell us about your experience working with her. Were you happy with the results of your shoot?
I imagine it is always difficult to have your photograph taken. Lizzy was friendly and chatty and made me feel incredibly comfortable. It felt like I was catching up with a friend rather than having my photo taken. She seemed to genuinely enjoy and value her work and her clients, I think that translates into great photos.
