What do you do? Tell us a bit about what you do.
I specialise in empowering voices in both singing and speaking by training healthy vocal technique and performance. I love giving my students vocal choices and fostering a love of singing in all ages, from beginner to advanced.
Tell me about how you got into your field.
Singing has always been a priority for me. Whether professionally or personally, it has always given me a sense of being. There was something that fascinated me about the voice as an instrument – how it makes me feel to sing and how I can adjust it to suit any genre I want. Learning exactly how to harness my voice has been a journey, and one that has led me to seek to understand other voices as well. I love lifting other voices up and decided to make it a career.
What is the best piece of career advice you’ve received?
“Your biggest barrier is your own mind.” And just chip away at a task and it’ll be done before you know it.
Why did you choose to have professional profile photos taken and what will you use your portraits for?
Professional photographs can elevate a business, and my amateur shots just weren’t cutting it. A good first impression makes a world of difference when picking a vocal trainer, especially in such a saturated industry. I wanted to present a friendly and professional personality that clients can feel comfortable with. Singing can be so personal and it is always an honor to get to be a part of the vocal journey of my clients.
Why did you choose to hire Lizzy C Photography?
The quality of her work spoke to me. I was looking for authenticity and experience with photography and Lizzy did not let me down! The location was central and I had plenty of information prior to the shoot which made me feel prepared and only a little nervous!
Tell us about your experience working with her. Were you happy with the results of your shoot?
Everything from first contacting Lizzy to receiving my photos was incredibly enjoyable. Lizzy understood what I wanted and gave me encouraging tips. Her ability to draw out my personality while also remaining technically proficient was fantastic. It was a beautiful day so we ventured outside and I was very impressed with the end results.
