Working with Taash to capture her professional headshots was a delight. Taash who proclaimed to a bit quirky, understood the importance of capturing her warm, open and relaxed personality. This is because her clients need to be able to connect with her as a psychologist. We interviewed Taash about her work and her experience of getting professional headshots taken.
What do you do? Tell us a bit about what you do.
I am a psychologist who works in Armadale, Prahran, Hawthorn, Ivanhoe and also operate via Telehealth. I love to work with all kinds of presentations but I really enjoy working in the area of low self esteem, helping people understand their worth and celebrating diversity.
Tell me about how you got into your field.
It was a long road – it took ten years. I started when I was 20 and finished when I turned 30. There were many times when I felt like giving up, but I couldn’t picture myself embarking on any other career path so I stuck with it. I am so relieved that I listened to myself and kept going – Every day I do what I always dreamed of and it’s an awesome feeling.
What is the best piece of career advice you’ve received?
Nothing worth having comes easy.
Why did you choose to have professional profile photos taken and what will you use your portraits for?
I didn’t have any photos for my website and I didn’t want to use personal photos as I felt that they weren’t appropriate for my business profile. I will use the photos on my website and also in instances when I am required to submit a photo of myself in a personal setting. I got many photos and they’re all very versatile and can be used for a wide range of purposes.

Tell us about your experience working with her. Were you happy with the results of your shoot?
Liz was professional and efficient. She was always ensuring we captured the best shot and was playing around with lighting and camera settings to enhance the finished product. I was super happy with the results of my photoshoot – so much so that I purchased more photos in addition to those which were already included in the package. Should I need more photos in the future I will be contacting Lizzy!
